Jiangsu Zhongtian Technology Co., Ltd [ZTT] celebrates continual bidding success with China State Grid 8th procurement bid for the supply of circuit installation materials; for power transmission and transformation projects as well as procurement bid for transformation equipment [including cables] for a total sum of 808 Million CNY [102 Mil Euro]. The State Grid 2018 project Shandong-Hebei Ring Network Project [Linyi-Shijiazhuang Section] 1000kV Line Project and the Zhongyang Energy Saving Yangjiang Nanpeng Island 300MW Offshore Wind Power Project.
Extra High Voltage Project
Adhering to the international and domestic industry call for safe, economical, energy-saving, low carbon and environmental green products; ZTT has since been devoted to the application study of conductor materials and development for the domestic power transmission industry with new technology and new products; attributing to the eventual construction of EHV products and the associated power network for the Chinese State Grid. Currently, ZTT has 23 new conductors which passed the technical authentication of the China Electricity Council. It was noted that among China’s 24 number of long distant-crossing transmission EHV projects, ZTT had successfully provided for 20 such projects. ZTT was also recognized for being the first, to produce the 30mm aluminum alloy stranded wire with steel core which was essentially designed for heavy icing environment; thus earning ZTT the title as “the leader” in the power transmission industry.
For the awarded projects, ZTT will provide energy-saving conductors, OPGW and fittings for Shandong-Hebei Ring Network Project [Linyi-Shijiazhuang Section], and common conductors and cables for the 8th power transmission and procurement projects of State Grid in 2018. ZTT’s ability to provide the total product solutions for large power grid projects enhances the company’s power industry chain profitability.
Offshore Wind Power project
China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group Yangjiang Nanpeng Island 300MW Offshore Wind Power Project is located in the south side of Dongping Town, Yangdong County, Yangjiang City, Guangdong Province, and in the southeastern side of Hailing Island. The site area is about 58km2, the water depth is 23m~32m, and the closest distance from land is about 30km. The total installed capacity of the project will be 300MW. After being boosted by the offshore booster station, it will be transported to the onshore centralized control center through a 220kV 3×400mm2 submarine cable, and then connected to the Yangjiang power grid system via a 220kV line. ZTT will provide the whole 45km 220kV submarine optic fiber composite cable system.
This project is the second 220kV 3×400mm2 submarine cable project in China. The first project, the China Power Investment Dafeng H3# project was also implemented by ZTT. The 52.5km single factory length of the project has since created an industry record. The conductor cross section 400mm2 is the smallest cross-sectional submarine cable of the current 220kV voltage class. Because of the small nominal cross section of the conductor and the high field strength of the insulating layer, the cross-section submarine cable soft joint technology is a recognized technical challenge in the industry. Through years of process exploration, technical improvement and test verification, ZTT has made a major breakthrough in the field of high field strength insulation recovery technology, with a pass rate of 100%.
